Portugal 🇵🇹

Pros: I really liked the fact that there were supermarkets, bus stops, and metro nearby. We always felt safe, both during the morning and at night. We stayed on the second floor, so we had to take the stairs, which was fine for us but could be a problem for someone who has trouble with that. The house was very spacious and clean. While we were out most of the day, we always ate dinner at the house since the kitchen was fully equipped. There was a hairdryer as well, I think that's also important to mention. Another thing that we also noticed was that the house was always warm (in the good way, because it was freezing outside), so it was always cozy since the moment we arrived. The host was very kind and helpful.

Cons: While we didn't really found that to be a problem for us in terms of actually being able to take a shower, we ended up taking longer that normal because the water pressure was low, and I think that's something that could be improved.

Clean flat

Pros: If you are looking for a clean flat close to the university, this one fulfils your need. Easy to reach with tram and train, close to the university (10 min by foot), offering the basic amenities you need before and after joining a busy day outside. There are also many cafés and cheap restaurants in the surroundings for fast food.

Cons: It has plenty of worn out furniture spread all over the flat and the floor is noisy. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there. But, as said, if your goal is simply to have a clean space to retreat after a long day and leave from the following morning, it will definitely suit your needs.

Large, simple apartment, but with everything you need, 4.5 km from the city center (Grand-Place)

Pros: The apartment is big and you have everything at your disposal: private wc, good wifi connection, spacious wardrobe, kitchen with microwaves, oven, sink, stove, and all the necessary utensils for cooking and serving. The hosts are very kind and helpful as well.

Cons: There is no TV in the bedroom and the shower is not fixed to the wall, only with a hose, but these are quite tolerable issues.
