I had a lovely stay. A real gem: vintage property with all mod cons.

Pros: Very quiet neighborhood, yet you can be in the touristy historic center by bus in less than 15 minutes. Loads of space. Grocery store near by.

Cons: stairs to the upper floor were rather steep, but that's to be expected in such a vintage property.

Pros: Cindy is a fantastic host - so friendly and helpful. The property is a real gem - beautifully restored and every single detail well thought through. Breakfasts were amazing with far more than we could eat and a great selection of everything from eggs to bread, home made jams, fruit and even cake! The location was perfect - quiet and off the beaten track with parking but only a 20 minute bus ride into Ghent from the end of the road or a 30 minute walk. And the sauna was a real bonus.

Cons: Nothing but be aware the staircase is very steep and narrow.

Pros: This is an exceptional property, one of a kind setting and accommodation.

Original 19th century-tiled floors, cozy spaces and fabulous hosts.

Pros: We booked both rooms so we had the extraordinary luxury of getting the entire house \

Cons: We wanted to try out the sauna after coming home from dinner in town one night, but could not get it to work. Lucien had said we could call him if we had trouble, but we felt it was too late at night. Better to leave instructions on site?

Uniquely wonderful property for an unforgettable stay.

Pros: Lucien was a fantastic host - welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property was excellent all round - beautifully furnished and with such unique style. So many lovely little touches in terms of the decor and the little extras you just don't expect when travelling about - the air sauna, bumper pool table, sjoelen table, and so on. And then all the extras you hope for but don't always get, too - good coffee-making facilities, a kitchen stocked with all the essentials, multiple toilets and showering options. Area around the property perfectly safe and quiet. Location-wise it's a little off the beaten path, but of course that's a trade off you are more than happy to accept for the excellent price and the incredible features.

Cons: The only real issue was a few minor comfort issues - uncomfortably steep stairs and the mattresses need a refresh for a better night's sleep but that is it really.
