B&B Tantine

A great place to relax after a hard day's work.

Pros: Great place. Very cozy interior. Wonderful owners. Excellent service. No extraneous noises.

Pros: The property 2km off the motorway, but there was no road noise . The owner was very informative and friendly , and there was a well stocked honesty bar . The room was great , super clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, great coffee and scrambled eggs !! Would highly recommend!!

Pros: Excellent facilities and efficient reception. Very helpful with finding us somewhere for dinner and where to charge car

Cons: Auto light in bath room, takes a time to go off - not a major issue but had to find something to comment

A perfect stay in a well appointed B&B.

Pros: We decided to stay within a short drive of Turnhout in quiet surrounds. B&B Tantine is a gem, the property is surrounded by stunning, peaceful gardens, everyting is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The centre of Retie is nearby Our room overlooked the garden, room was compact and well appointed with comfortable beds. Internet worked well. Breakfast is delicious and included eggs and bacon if desired, we especially enjoyed the locally made apple juice with lemon and ginger. The dining area is beautiful and I also enjoyed reading outdoors in the garden. The owners who hosted us were gracious and friendly. We noticed many people cycling in the area and this would be a perfect location to explore the area. I wish we could have stayed for more than 2 nights.

Pros: Everything included the breakfast was good quality, great service. The hosts are super nice, we could take their personal bikes anytime for free.

Pros: The breakfast was really good, especially the variant of fresh apple juice. Lovely and clean room (+bathroom).

Pros: For our purposes the location was ideal being only minutes from the main highway. The property was spotless,the hosts very welcoming with very good English to counter our nonexistent Flemish. Lovely breakfast

Pros: This is the best B&B we have stayed in. Our hosts Koen & Lieve were so friendly, hospitable amd couldn't do enough to help us. It is beautifully decorated and the rooms are so comfortable, spacious with free coffee facilities, fresh cold water. We were able to use the microwave in the dining area. We felt like home away from home. Breakfast was the best we had in any hotel. Fantastic selection with fresh cooked bacon and eggs, home made yogurt and jams. Great parking on site. Supermarkets and restaurants a short drive away. I would highly recommend this B & B.

Pros: Location, Staff, general feel of the place & a great garden. It was nice to have a small bar area where you can sit either inside or outside on a deck where the breakfast was served. Easy to get to off the main road.

Cons: I would give a 10 if there was a restaurant. Although there is a nice brasserie around 15 minutes walk away where I had an excellent meal.
