Pros: Our host was very friendly and welcoming, taking time to explain to us where to see the city sights. He parked our bikes inside, under the stairs. The decor is in a quirky period style.

Cons: Steep stairs, no lift. 38°C. No aircon. Simple breakfast. No fruit, cheap cuts. One glass of juice, one cup of coffee. On booking, we were notified of a 25 euro penalty if we arrrived outside a single hour slot.

Interesting building and helpful host.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and location not bad for eateries etc. Whole place very quirky, quite different and original

Cons: The only gripe we had was the charge of 25 euros to make up the bed as two singles. To be fair was in very small print which I didn't see until after I'd booked and paid for it and then received an email in large print telling us of this and we couldn't then cancel. Left a bit of a bad taste to be honest. Should have been made very clear in the pricing structure. Nobody else on our trip charged this.

Pros: Very cozy, loved the bathroom & bed was comfortable! Also the prices of the minibar were not insanely expensive and the breakfast was delicious.

Pros: Friendly welcome by Chris and informative introduction to the sights of Turnhout. Lovely decor, clean and great facilities including kettle. Perfect location for the train station too. Large bed and super comfy mattress. I wish I'd stayed longer!
