Fantastic 3-night stay in Ghent

Pros: The apartment is even bigger than what the pictures suggest! We loved the ample space, the well-equipped kitchen and the tiny details (such as oil, sugar, salt, coffee pods). It was easy to navigate, and the location is really great. We loved our stay! Our 20-year-old son travelled with us, and having his own double bed (not a sofa couch) and his own space was also a bonus. We checked in very late, and were received very friendly and courteous by our host. He also allowed us late check-out, which was an immense bonus, and we truly appreciated it.

Cons: The shower is super small, and we got the entire bathroom floor wet. The towels are also very old, and it would be useful perhaps to have a microwave in the kitchen (there is an oven which is great!). HOWEVER, I would not let this deter me from booking here again. Given all of the positives, it far outweighs a small bathroom that you can definitely live with.

Pros: Spacious and central. Close to station and walking distance from the hub.

Great apartment, great location…. Tiny shower

Pros: Very well utilised apartment in a beautiful building. 20 minute walk from the city centre of Ghent. Parking close by is not available so we parked about a 10 minute eady walk away in a secured underground car park. Lift to all floors so no carrying around luggage on stairs! Host is very responsive and helpfull.

Cons: The shower is absolutely tiny and therefore uncomfortable to have a proper shower. The lift can be noisy but we were lucky other guests did not go out late / early. Two bedrooms actually means two beds in one larger room, separated by a curtain. Not a problem for us but could be a challenge for those looking for more privacy

A nice stay

Pros: Very spacious and bright. Comfy beds, we had a good night's sleep. Our studio was on the 3rd floor so it was nice to have a lift. We were able to leave our luggage at the property after check out. Location - very easy to get to the city centre and to the train station. It's nice to have a park nearby.

Cons: As some others mentioned, the shower cubicle is very small plus not easy to get in/out of.

Really nice apartment but bad upkeep

Pros: The location was pretty nice, around a 20 minute walk from city center. Really lovely Ukranian man showed us around the whole house and gave us the keys earlier than expected. The apartment was big and the view into the garden area was really nice. Good value for money.

Cons: The cleanliness of the place was not the greatest. There was old used bottles of empty bathroom products leftover in the shower, the glasses in the kitchen were empty and even though there was a coffee machine the coffee pods available were incompatible with it.

Pros: The interaction with the host,the location of the apartment was great.

Cons: Shower bit on the small side.

Nice and interesting!

Pros: Beautiful apartment close to the train station and bus stops. The price of our one-nighter was super reasonable, our stay being on a mid-August peak season. The host asked us what time suited us for the check-in and welcomed us at our arrival. The host was so kind to hold our baggage for the day after our check-out and met us again to collect it in the evening. The apartment is clean, beds are comfortable, modern bathroom, small and nice court outside; everything is highly organized with pull-out drawers fully furnished with tableware and kitchenware. As a way to kill time the apartment is filled with all sorts of interesting and funny books.

Cons: There was a cuisine book in the kitchen claiming you can break spaghetti before cooking them. This hurt my Italian feelings deeply. Leaving off this mandatory joke, all was perfect.

Pros: The host met us at the front door, although we weren't sure if we were in the right place as the address provided didn't fully show on Google maps. They were very welcoming. A nice apartment equipped with what we needed even had garden access and an outdoor balcony to sit on. Had a lift direct to the room.

Cons: Thought we'd run out of toilet paper, but just managed. Someone below us smoked at night as the smell made its way into the main bedroom.

Spacious apartment close to station

Pros: Very clean. Lots of room. Very spacious apartment. Close to the train station. Very attentive owner. Easy to check in. Good to have a lift instead of having to cart luggage up stairs.

Cons: The shower was much too small. I'm not a fat person and I had to squeeze in. I can't imagine a large man trying to fit into this area. There were no cooking utensils not even a knife. So too hard to prepare food. There were knives and forks for eating but not for food preparation. Able to walk into the centre in about 25 minutes.
