Pros: The character of the property was evident throughout and there were great views of central Ghent. The property itself was spacious with great amenities, and the toiletries in the bathroom were a much appreciated touch. The host was very informative of the Ghent area and the documents provided made our stay seamless. Would definitely book again when next in Ghent!

Perfect for short stays in Ghent
Pros: Fantastic location for exploring Ghent, right in the middle of everything and well connected to the sights further out.
Cons: Didn't bother me, but the stairs won't be for everyone.

Relaxing stay in the heart of Ghent
Pros: I really liked how spacious our room was. We had everything provided in there, coffee included, and the bed was so comfortable. The location was near all the attractions, and staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Will definitely be coming back. π
Cons: Nothing to complain.

Pros: The cats who came to welcome us, each on another day. Very sweet. The location is great! Stairs are a bit of a workout π A place with lots of character.
Cons: No codes for entry were sent beforehand, but the girl at the property let us in and solved the door issue.

Pros: Great location, nice comfy bed with spacious room and easy to get access to the property via contacting the owner through WhatsApp messenger. A flight of stairs to climb to get access to the appartment. Perfect overall thanks.

We will definitely recommend the apartment - our kids loved the apartment!
Pros: The space of the apartment is exactly what we needed during our 3 day stay, The location of the apartment was excellent. There are enough tram lines around to make getting around easier. We chose to take a taxi to the train station on departure and we got picked up right outside our apartment door.
Cons: It is important to know that there are a lot of stairs leading up to the apartment - keep this in mind when you have heavy and big suitcases to take up the stairs - however, the stairs make the entrance to the apartment even more magical.

Access
Pros: Located centrally in the city and very convenient walk to the castle, shops and cathedral. Lovely river cruises and bars and restaurants. Best to park at free P+R around the edge of the city. The apartment is large with all the facilities you would expect .
Cons: A little more communication about accessing the apartment would be helpful. I sent a number of emails and texts to Sven before we arrived ( I now understand is the owner) for this information without a reply. On arrival we were unable access the apartment as a door code is required. More by luck than judgement we met a couple that was staying within the complex. They kindly gave us the access code and another contact name and phone number of a neighbour for the keys and we then managed to arrange access. Very stressful and unnecessary.

Great location right in the centre of town but in a kind of side street so nice and quiet.
Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location - very close to many main attractions. Everything within walking distance, which was great. Our studio was on the 2nd floor with the bathroom just across the way - not sure if it's normally shared with the another studio but no one was there so not a problem either way! Very well stocked with gels, lotions, shampoo & conditioner. As was the kitchen with various staples that might be required for cooking etc. The bed was huge and very comfy - lovely nights' sleep. Very grateful to our kind host who carried my suitcase up the fairly steep stairs to the 2nd floor! (It's a lovely old house so there is no lift!).
Cons: We would have preferred an en-suite but, for the price, having the bathroom across the way was just fine :).

Brilliant apartment in the center of ghent. Excellent value for money
Pros: Beautiful old apartment with floor to ceiling windows, original wooden floors and spacious beds/bedrooms. The layout of the apartment is not conventional and the bathroom and kitchen is a little dated but I liked this about the apartment as it added character. The apartment was also very clean and tidy and we made friends with the two friendly cats living in the apartment building.
Cons: The stairs to the apartment are a little rickety so I wouldn't recommend if you have any mobility problems.

Pros: The location was really great. Really close to the centre. The bed was very comfy (& big), the shower was good, (and the house cat very friendly). The room size was good. The bathroom is across the hall, but that wasn't a problem for us.
Cons: It was a shame that the slats on the patio chairs were broken as it would have been nice to sit on them more comfortably. It would have been good to have a decent size saucepan in the kitchen. We only ate in one night, and we did manage, but it was a bit tricky. To be fair, we didn't ask the owner about either of these things, and she may well have been able to help as she was very pleasant.
