De Hoorn

Very pleasant and met expectations

Pros: It’ very clean and has a lot of natural light. The accommodation was extremely comfortable ie including the furniture . It was great having a nice and large Smart TV. The cupboard space was great.

Cons: The corridors tend to smell cause the garbage is collected every day. Also it’s a slightly long walk to the City Center.

Sunny flat in the north of Leuven

Pros: The apartment (on the 9th floor) had a wonderful view southward over Leuven. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows provided a good breeze. Given we were two people, it was useful having separate rooms for toilet/sink and for shower/sink. Because de Hoorn was in the northern part of the city, it was quite quiet, but a healthy walk to the central part of the city and the train station. I liked de Hoorn's provisions for recycling nearly everything!

Cons: While there was a washer and dryer for use by all the apartments on the floor, there was no drying frame, so I had to borrow extra hangers to dry the many things I didn't want to use a dryer for. There were also no instructions for using the cooktop or oven, so one had to figure it out. In the end, I gave up trying to use the oven. But there is not alot to complain about, and I'm sure that everyone who stays at de Hoorn will enjoy their stay.

Pros: The staff really went out of their way to make the stay easier. Could not recommend the place more.

Overall good, unless check-in / check-out scheme could have been more clarified.

Pros: Large & Quiet Room, Very good view. In this time, There was dish detergent and hand soap, but No dishwashing sponges, No kettle, No hair dryer. At first I thought the washer and dryer were equipped in the room, but I was almost disappointed when I did not see them. At last, I discovered that they were in another room across the hallway, which I was able to use.

Cons: Although I had told them for my early arrival, I was only told the number of key locker and its opening code by e-mail. So, I had to wait until 3:00 pm just to be sure, but it seemed that the key locker could be opened much ealier time, thus, I wasted quite a bit of time. Also, the check-out scheme was not specified. Because of my schedule, I could not go to Reception during the day on a weekday, so I could not have chance to ask how to check-out. The day before check-out, I asked how to check-out several times by e-mail & text messaging, however I have get no reply. In the end, I just returned the keys to the same key locker at the check-out time, but I still don't know if it was the right thing to do or not.

It's a really great place only one minor thing to point out

Pros: The whole apartment concept is really great. I love that I can have a place after work, where I can do almost the same as I do at home.

Cons: The only problem was/is that after 4 days of emailing back and forth I still haven't gotten an invoice. I need it because i was there because of work. - Their response time is really slow (one mail a day) - although I forgot to send a few details to make the invoice (mailed the details right after they asked for dem on day 3), it shouldn't take this long to get an invoice. - day 4. They haven't answered me today, so still no invoice But still this is a minor thing compared to what you get out of this place and it's really great, and I am coming back the next time I'm in Leuven. So remember to get the invoice before you check out.

Pros: Excellent location! Great rooms! Great views! Everything is great! Very modern and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Cons: Staff are completely unreachable at night. Once there was a power cut and when we called the staff no one answered. As others have noted, there is no hand soap, laundry detergent or electric kettle. With such great facilities, why don't they provide them?

Stylish, quiet, spacious and comfortable apartment - would stay again

Pros: The apartment definitely has the 'wow' factor. Floor to ceiling windows, wonderful views, heaps of space. Two huge sliding windows to the outside. The furnishings, crockery and finishes are all beautiful. The apartment is really quiet and a lovely place to spend time. Most places 'inside the ring' in Leuven can be walked to from here in about 20min maximum.

Cons: The studio did not have any soap (not even dish soap), nor a hair dryer or ironing board. These small touches would make an already excellent apartment really, really superb.

Pros: Self-catering apartment. Modern and view to northern edge of city. 20 minute walk to central tourist centre.

Cons: No free television subscription only. Complicated microwave oven had no instructions

Pros: It was calm, clean and spacious. Great location and kind staff

Cons: The closet i sensed a strange smell

Cons: De inrichting is nogal minimalistisch.
