Villa des Roses Voltaire

Very comfortable and charming small apartment with good transport access for the city.

Pros: A beautiful property on a large residential avenue, where the accommodation is up 3 flights of stairs to the top floor. It is quirky but very comfortable with a kitchen area, dining, bathroom with shower over bath, twin bedroom and mezzanine with chairs and sofa bed. Small but perfectly formed. The owners offer the option of breakfast delivered at your choice of time, which was excellent. Freshly cooked eggs, lovely bread, cheese, ham as well as freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Although out of the city centre, tram connections are excellent. It is also very close to a bus which goes directly to the airport.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. It has its own charm and we felt very secure and comfortable. The property description was clear about the stairs access so we were prepared. It is a residential area so be mindful of needs like restaurants/ cafes if you want something local. There were recommendations provided although we didn’t use any because of the nature of our visit.

Pros: Very nice apartment, spacious, clean and good equipped. It is on the top of an historical house so there a lot of stairs, but that is to be expected in this type of building. Location is not in the city center, but there is tram and bus station few minues walk and there is direct tram line to city center. Neighborhood is quiet and there is few shops and bakery near. Host was friendly and helpful.

Villas des Roses Voltaire is a beautiful block of flats managed by wonderful people.

Pros: The flat was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and really well located. The complimentary teas and coffee were a really nice addition.

Cons: The top flat was up 4 flights of stairs, which could be tiring. But it’s an old house and this is to be expected!

Pros: the apartment is beautiful and spacious, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped. the host was lovely
