Pros: It is important to have a knowledgeable and articulate host, particularly where time can be in short supply when visiting a city for the first time-the owner (Koen) helped make the holiday. Plenty of choice at breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.

Cons: Everything was more than satisfactory.

Wonderful stay in Mechelen

Pros: The hotel is cosy and family-run. I loved the ambient and tasty breakfasts. The room was big enough, with a big bed and a small desk, which was useful for working and having tea. There was everything I needed. The location worked fine for me. It's quiet in the neighborhood. It took me around 10 minutes to the city centre and 25 minutes on foot to the main train station. The bus stop is also a minute away.

Cons: The room was downstairs, and I could hear voices from the kitchen and the hall during breakfast hours- otherwise it was calm and quiet.

Very agreeable in many aspects, and highly recommended for an enjoyable stay!

Pros: Very friendly and personal welcome by the B&B hosts Els and Koen, spacy room with a view to a well-kept garden that was open for guests to stay in, many small details in room, shower, bathroom that showed the care the hosts must have put in preparing the room, and - extra-special - breakfast services with freshly-squeezed orange juice and omlette prepared by Koen, the host, with care and friendlyness. I very happily look forward to any next opportunity to return to this place, which, on top of all else is conveniently located less than five minutes footwalk from the historic city center.

Pros: The BnB is very clean and well decorated. Very quiet rooms and a lovely garden. Breakfast is really good and Koen is the greatest host. Great value for money.

Great for city trip

Pros: Good location near historic centre, quiet, friendly hosts, I was able to check in earlier, nearby car parking, excellent breakfast. Very clean and attention to detail. Recommended!
