Mechelen stay

Pros: Great location . Very welcoming host. Nice big room.

Cons: Bathroom was lovely but not v practical. Not enough places to hang your clothes or towels. Stepping in and out of a high sided ( beautiful) bath was a little challenging. I have good core muscles but more physically challenged would need a handle or something to hold onto. I think that will come as seems newly renovated and everything else was quality.

Pros: Nice, cosy, well eqipped. The special atmosphere of the old buildings. Nice owners.

Lovely, friendly base to explore the city.

Pros: Such a comfy bed, great shower, I felt very at home and looked after at the same time! David was super helpful and accommodating. It was an easy and enjoyable walk into town and very convenient for the train station.

Cons: Nothing! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Pros: The room was very comfortable, clean, cozy and near of everything. The owners were also really hospitable and wanting to know if everything was perfect. Impeccable treatment and receiving. I’ve definitely recommend Nova Zembla again if I you visit MECHELEN.

Pros: Lovely host gave valuable tips, great taste (just look at the pictures), spacious elegant room and bathtub, complimentary local beer and mineral water, high quality tea and coffee, fridge, tv, practical location near train station, supermarket and city gate, easy for walk into town

Cons: No fault of the hosts: - Street sign is not very readable, just ask the friendly locals - If you are still asleep at 10 in the morning you might hear the very loud voice of the person in the office below being on a phone call: better than an alarm clock :D

Pros: I've ordered a room but got an appartment) the duvet was the blanket was made of fluff like from my childhood, the bath was very big and comfortable

Pros: The room is as described - all comfy and neat. It was easy to find the hotel. The communication with Ann and David was also smooth.

Very comfortable and convenient stay in Mechelen

Pros: Ann and David are very responsive and caring owners. Very convenient location to both the station and city centre. Very easy check-in procedure. Very clean and modern room set up. Absolutely recommended.

We had a Warm welcome from Ann and David, with plenty of advice how to make the most of our stay.

Pros: Great location, just 8 mins walk from rail station and around 15 minutes into the centre to see the sights - plenty of good quality cafes and restaurants en route. Super shower and comfy bed in a large room with good facilities. It was a nice touch that our hosts left some local beers and water in the fridge for us. Ann and David were also helpful with tips to make the most of our stay, both beforehand and during our stay. Recommended!
