Friendly quiet exceptional in the middle of the old town. Could not be nicer or better located.

Pros: This is a brilliant place to stay. A working monastery as well as a hotel - gives an air of calm, relaxation and quietness and yet is only 200 yards from the centre of town. The hotel has its own garden - quite a rarity for something so well located. Rooms are simple, gloriously quiet & very comfortable. We overlooked the garden. Overall it felt like being in the middle of an oasis but in reality we were in the centre of the old town. Staff at the hotel were very helpful & could not have been nicer. Breakfast fresh and exceptionally good. The building itself being part of the historic monastery is interesting too.

A wonderful stay!

Pros: Had a really great stay. Comfortable room, perfect location, amazing breakfast. Tranquil and unique. A must when in Ghent.

Cons: Slightly hard to find initially, signposting could be better, but honestly, we loved it.

Pros: An incredible , serene complex of various religious buildings, part of which converted sympathetically to a very comfortable , unostentatious hotel. Location is excellent, with bonus of tram stop outside the main gate. Good breakfast too.

Cons: Receptionist a bit sharp as I'd estimated arrival at 4, but got there a bit earlier , although well after the 3pm check in opening.

Superb accommodation in the heart of Ghent.

Pros: A serene, beautiful place. It has a slightly wooded garden where you might come across beekeeping. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with very modern bathrooms and heating. Location is 5 minutes from Ghent’s attractions. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in on my travels.
