Overall a very pleasant stay at a character hotel.

Pros: A character property with very not so common decor and sleeping arrangements. We stayed with family of young children and thoroughly enjoyed the clean amenities, friendly ambience and helpful staff. There is reasonably priced parking nearby. The breakfast was well laid out and had a good mix of different types.

Cons: Nil.

Pros: 3 friends travelling to Gent via train. Hotel a short walk from the station - had seen that it was a fairly new refurbed hotel making the most of the history of the previous building. lovely spacious room. staff really nice and helpful. tea/coffee facilities in room. we had a lovely stay.

Quirky hotel in beautiful building walking distance to Ghent centre

Pros: Very quirky, industrial style hotel, dog friendly and close to Ghent centre. Set into a beautiful building which was a former army barracks.

Cons: Appears basic due to its look, if you like opulence it’s not for you.

Pros: Very cool building, nice project, kind and welcoming staff, good position, parking possibilities. Think of reserving in advance if you want to eat in their restaurant.

Cons: In the double-level room the heating was provided by the AC unit placed on the level 2, but as the hot air tend to stay upstairs, the level 1 is much colder. I guess in summer with the reversed problem it makes more sens in terms of comfort. In general, the position of the AC is not optimised as hot/ cold air is blowing just above the head when you are using the work table.

A nice surprise

Pros: Quiet location, impressive architecture and space of former barracks, excellent private parking, the in-house restaurant.

Cons: Only minor things, I found water pressure in the shower to be way too low for my liking (only second floor).
