Very enjoyable and individual.
Pros: The interior decor is beautiful and interesting but not unpleasantly luxurious. Staff are friendly and informal. We have stayed at the hotel three times now, and hope to return.
Cons: Clearer information about Ghent's scheme for charging car drivers. It seems one can be fined for entering the city and not paying the charge, so guests should be warned about this.

Pros: Very nice charming hotel in style,a setback in time.It benefits from not having been renovated. I loved the music, very appropriate with the interior.Exudes class and calm. The breakfast could not have been better.Everything was on the table and privacy to sit down and enjoy it. The crockery was clean and in style with the interior. Also very handy: tram is extremely close.Very silent street. I travel a lot and this was excellent value for money. I definitely will go back there....
Cons: Nothing.It fulfilled my expectations

Really enjoyable, welcoming stay in lovely old house which retains old world charm and dignity.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious and abundant breakfast. Beautiful faded elegance extremely restful and appealing. Will definitely stay there again next time in Ghent.
Cons: Room a tiny bit dusty.

Good value and comfortable old fashioned style hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location.
Pros: This small hotel, with twelve guest rooms, is located in an excellent position, set in a quiet side street, within close proximity of a tram and bus stop providing very frequent services to either St Peter's rail station or to the city's historic centre. If walking, it is about a ten to fifteen minute easy walk to the main tourist attractions. The room was well sized and comfortable, furnished with period pieces in keeping with the age of the property. The room was clean and serviced efficiently by the room attendant staff. The continental breakfast was comprehensive and generous, but the range of cooked items available (which comprised scrambled or hard boiled egg, chopped bacon bits and mini pancakes) was limited.
Cons: The shower facility was a little dated - the glass sliding doors were not very effective and were prone to come off their runners unless pulled shut carefully. There was no bath. We had a room on the top (third) floor and were pleased we did not have heavy suitcases, with there being no elevator. To the hotel's credit, the person who checked us in did ask if we needed help with our luggage.

This small inn and its staff are elegance personified, an absolute delight.
Pros: Located in a grand old home, the facilities lived up to the hotel's name, Charme. For those who enjoy the ambience of travel in a bygone era, yet with modern upgrades, this small inn is ideal. The concierge Alvira personified elegance and sophistication, coupled with a friendly, welcoming presence, the best of any I experienced in Europe. A tram stop is located at the end of the street, easy and frequent connections to the city core and the railway station. The breakfast offerings and setting added to the enjoyment of staying at an 'Old World' auberge. I was extremely pleased with my choice of this inn.
Cons: I had no difficulty with the stairs. For those with mobility issues it should be noted that the inn possesses no lift and that a ground floor room should be requested.
