Excellent

Pros: It was a beautiful, serene, clean stay and I would love to stay again. Perfect location in the city center too. Communication and check in were easy as well.

Pros: Amazing location, little garden, quietness and the hammam! Super vibe and kind welcome from the owner. We really felt like valued friends. Will definitely come again and stay at Schopenhauer again.

Pros: Really interesting place and right beside the centre if the city

Cons: I least liked the bed which was built into the floor. Once I figured out the best technique for getting in and out of it, all was fine.

Very calming place if you visit Gent

Pros: Eric is one of the best hosts you could ever dream to have! Even tho, there was a slight inconfort for us in the beginning, Eric insisted to make it right for us, it was wonderful! Seriously, this has been so relaxing for us, it took me one week to come back from this trip and write this review. The place is also right in the center, next to the canal, you'll be in the right place to visit the city! For sure, if we come back to Gent, we'll stay with him. Thank for everything! We look forward to our Antwerp at your other place!

Cons: Nothing much, Eric made it right arranging another room for us with the initial incomfort we had in the first room at the base floor. Thank you again for doing this!

Unique, relaxing and well located!!

Pros: B&B Schopenhauer is centrally located next to some great restaurants, bars and cultural locations. It's a perfect place to stay during a holiday in Ghent. Schopenhauer is both comfortable and unique, it's a really special place to stay. The hammam was top notch. We also felt very welcome. We met Eric briefly and he was really lovely. His recommendations were great. We will definitely stay again if we visit Ghent in the future.
