Hotel Villa Royale

Pros: The staff was very nice and polite, the bathroom and cleaness was good. But my favourite was the bed, had a hard time to get out of it and as I was there in buisness it was a perfect bed for vacation, not if you have an 8 am meeting. 😅

Cons: As it was my first time in brussels (kind off) it was hard to choose an accurate hotel according to my needs so it felt maybe more further away than it was. Also needs to be said if you come from Gare de Nord it could be a very steep hill to get the hotell and rougher area.

Pros: Very clean, comfortable beds, very helpful staff at reception. Decent breakfast. Good location. Public transport very close by. Would stay here again.

Cons: The bar in the hotel was closed while we where there. It would have been nice to have a little nightcap to warm up when we got back to hotel in the evenings. There wasn't a proper in our room, it was a telephone type shower but it didn't hang up anywhere. It was a bit difficult for me to have a quick shower as I had to climb in & out of the bath. (I have arthritis) We didn't have a great view from our room... part of a demolished building & a brick wall. We didn't really mind that anyway as we were out & about most of the day.

Pros: Staff helpful Location ok for my meeting further up the road

Cons: Shower tray drain in 102 needs sorting. Flow reduced with smaller head, but drain not efficient enough. Tray full within 30seconds Coded card lock failed and had to use physical key for 102 Rest card a few times. Lock flashed green red and beeped

A no-frills trip to visit museums and art galleries, so this was a very convenient place to stay.

Pros: Location! It’s a simple and inexpensive place to stay close to Metro and with a tram stop nearby. Very easy to travel to all the sights. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Security - the front door of the hotel is kept locked so guests have to be buzzed in. A good breakfast is available for an extra payment.

Cons: Rue Royale is quite run-down. We had some problems with the shower, but not enough to spoil our stay! The hotel is popular with groups, so reception can be busy at check in/ check out times.

Pros: Very helpful and polite young gentleman at the reception. Hotel was clean and valued for money. A kettle in the room would be nice

Cons: Was all fine

Pros: room is spacious but light can be brighter. I feel at night, room is quite dark with current light setting. bed is conformable good location to train station, walkable distance to city centre or take 3-4 bus stops.

Pros: Really nice cosy room,clean and located in the city center.Totally value for money.

Mediocre

Pros: Facilities such as kettle, free paper glasses, heat, hot water

Cons: The lack of slippers, mini fridge, tea or coffee refreshments in the room, the location is not that safe but very close to the Carrefour, though.

Pleasant stay, clean room and helpful staff.

Pros: Room was nice and clean. Had AC which was great for the heat. Staff were helpful. It was great value for money. Good location right outside a tram stop to get you closer to the city.

I'd stay here again, but I know that the money I save will be spent on taxis.

Pros: Public transportation was convenient. The hotel was okay. Absolutely no extras in the room - no iron or ironing board and no water boilers or coffee chaines. The showers are open door with no shower curtains - in other words, every shower results in a mini-flood. Staff is friendly and right across the street is another hotel with a nice bar and lounge area that seems to have sympathy for us poor folk staying across the street. The hotel is located in a very ethnic neighborhood with great food Middle Eastern and Turkish options.

Cons: I did not like the location. It is neither central nor lively. It's too far away from everything.
