Perfect for a visit to Mechelen

Pros: The hotel is just a short walk or bus journey into Mechelen or the train station and it also very close to an Aldi. Brussels, Antwerp and Leuven etc are easily accessible from Mechelen station. My room was very comfortable. The location of the hotel which is just off a main road was very quiet and I was able to sleep very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: Nice and cosy family hotel. Missis Van Malcot is very helpful and prepares a delicious breakfast. The place is close to the Zoo and gives and opportunity to discover the beautiful countryside near Mechelen. We highly recommend it!

Pros: The hotel was well located for my visit to Mechelen. The room was clean and spacious and there was a good range of international TV stations available on the television. I was especially pleased with how quiet the room was at night no noise from outside enabling a good restful sleep.

Perfect if you’re on your own for a weekend and just want to chill. Recommended.

Pros: Great hosts, nice location and I had the best room.

Cons: Breakfast was great, egg and bacon were perfect. I would have liked more variety on the cereals.

A pleasant stay in a charming building, although we were disturbed during the night

Pros: The hotel is in a quiet suburb, although it has considerable grounds of its own which gives the impression of being in the countryside when one is inside. The lady on reception was very helpful, and as the hotel has no evening restaurant, she kindly booked us into a restaurant a few minutes away in the car. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was of good quality and with a nice view out over the grounds. The building seems old and has considerable charm.

Cons: The hotel entrance on the road is not lit up, which made the sign hard to find in the dark. The grounds are neglected and run down, although this does not affect the inside of the hotel, which is in good condition. There is nowhere to eat immediately close to the hotel if you need some supper. There is also no tea or coffee in the room. We were disturbed in the middle of the night by someone coming up the fire escape and shining a torch into our room: they were calling out and seemed to be trying to get in. Either there were no staff in the hotel, or they did not know what was going on. Note: this disturbance was not the hotel's fault, but the lack of available staff meant that there was no-one to stop it.

Overall a very good stay

Pros: Family hotel nicely decorated. Owner / staff very friendly. Reception went very well. Breakfast was good. Special mention for Bella the dog

Pros: De sfeer, en de ligging can het hotel waren heerlijk. De gastvrouw was fantastisch.

Prima hotel

Pros: Rustige locatie, op ongeveer 20 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Privé parkeren. Ruime en zeer schone kamer. Vriendelijke eigenaresse/receptioniste.

Cons: Het kostte nogal moeite om internetverbinding te krijgen via de telefoon. Via de laptop lukte dit zelfs helemaal niet.
