Positive stay, quite and clean rooms. useful because near to the tram station.

Pros: The location was in a quiet area, so very well appreciated.

Cons: The mirror in the bathroom was too high with respect to a normal person. You could see your face.

Good accommodation in this historic city.

Pros: Fred was a friendly and welcoming host. The accommodation was near a tram line for easy access from the main railway station and within walking distance of the historic centre. Fred served fresh breakfasts and provided helpful local information. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the waterway. All together making a pleasant stay in this interesting city.

Cons: Couldn't fault Fred's BnB.

A great place to stay

Pros: Lovely breakfast with a wide range of items served attractively. Very pleasant, attentive host, most willing to please. Good sized room, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Artistic decor with quirky interesting features.

Cons: The rumbly, stiff bathroom door and the height of the mirror - too high for a 5ft 4in midget ! Both only minor dislikes.

Pros: Fred was friendly, helpful and a welcoming host and flexible to our slightly later evening arrival. The 3 bed room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with nice design touches, bowler hat lamp shades for example. The communal areas were the same understated style, an honesty bar and a sitting room area where you could play the odd vinyl on his record player or if you had time, read something from his book collection. Location was great, far enough away from the crowds but a leisurely 10-15 walk into the centre. Good luck to the Buffalos, I'll now have a sneaky look at their results each week!

Cons: Some things have been mentioned in previous reviews, steep stairs and these being slightly noisy when people go up and down them. Cash only might be an issue for some but it does say in the listing. Breakfast was good but perhaps a tad expensive and I would normally expect a B&B to include it in the price, although again, it does say in the listing. Finally, the result 4-3!

A comfortable B&B close to the canal

Pros: A welcoming and helpful host who allowed us to check in early. Our room was of a good size with a view over the canal/river. The bathroom was also of a good size. It is located outside the city centre and was reasonably quiet.

Cons: Note that payment can only be made using a Belgian banking app or cash!

Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner, good location, excellent breakfast (with a choice of great music in the breakfast room).

Pros: Quiet location. Nice decor and comfortable. Secure parking nearby.

Pros: Fred was an excellent host. Communication was clear and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was easy walking distance to both the downtown area and train station. We really appreciated Fred accommodating our late check out request, allowing us an extra morning to take in the sights of Gent.

Pros: Fred was very helpful and communicative before we arrived. The B & B is in a great location , close to everything we wanted to do. It's very comfortable - large clean rooms, with fun and fresh decor. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. And we enjoyed chatting with Fred, he's a gracious and welcoming host. Thank you!

Pros: Perfect location close to the city centre. Parking close by for a good price. Easy access with our car to at least drop off our bags.
