Pros: Beautiful building, superb location, very welcoming staff and very tasty breakfast. Franco-Flemish baroque music at reception set the tone for a wonderful visit.

Our stay in Ghent with the history, recommended restaurants & Christmas markets were super.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful with such history and so graciously kept with a superb reception experience and of course the breakfast & service was of a very high standard.

Cons: We were warned about the stairs so pack light - great upfront notice.

Characterful hotel in a great location.

Pros: Lovely small hotel in a 16th century house a short walk from the historic centre and all the main sights. Our room had lots of character with a beamed ceiling and magnificent fireplace. The bed was comfortable. There was a good cold breakfast buffet, with eggs cooked to order. The breakfast room over looks a pretty garden. Staff were friendly.

Cons: Be aware that because of the nature of the property there is no lift and the stairs are steep. To be fair, we were warned of this and were able to request a room on the first floor. There was no shower as such - just a shower attachment on the bath.

Historical building and room, very comfortable, excellent location

Pros: Excellent location, very close to the centre of the city. Room spacious and quite, very comfortable large bed. Possibility to make coffee/tea in the room. Perfect place to stay, but the best part is the breakfast room - I loved the ancient spirit with historical decorations and the small garden outside. Breakfast delicious with enough variety. Staff very nice and helpful.

Cons: Furniture is not new, but this is part of the historical spirit, and everything was functioning and clean.

A charming hotel, full of character , in a great location.

Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet and freshly cooked eggs on offer . Very characterful room and comfortable beds. We really appreciated being given ( at our request) sheets and blankets instead of duvets.

Cons: The bathroom had a bath with a hand held shower attachment. There was no shower curtain or hook on the wall to hang the shower attachment. This made it awkward to have a shower and wash my hair. Apart from that teh facilities were all good.
