Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof Ghent

When I’m back in Ghent I will not stay anywhere else!

Pros: Everything was perfect. Great location to the city centre, easy drive in and cheap parking around the corner (or under the hotel if you’re feeling frivolous!). Staff were attentive, polite and nothing seemed to be a problem. The hotel/bar/cafe/room was spotlessly clean and the decor looked very well maintained. Did venture into the gardens that was also very neat and well maintained.

Cons: Absolutely nothing

THE BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE

Pros: The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make my husbands birthday memorable. The kitchen staff were also so amazing at dealing with our food allergies and they did such a good job! The spa was so wonderful and the massage was really top class. I had a male therapist and it was obvious that he was professionally trained. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was just as spacious and the shower was like something out of a movie. Oh and the food was out of this world!!! We had a dinner at Olivier petit bistro and it was better than what we have eaten in Michelin star restaurants! The breakfast buffet was also so wonderful because they had so many dairy free options for us including vegan chocolate croissants which were the best thing we ever tasted. We will definitely be back!

Cons: I did not like the fact that I had organised surprise balloons and sparkling wine as a surprise for my husband upon arrival and when we got to the hotel for check in, the woman checking us in told me how excited she was to meet me after all the emails we exchanged and that the wine, chocolates and balloons were in the room. She said this in front of my husband which made my heart absolutely sink and it really upset me because I had gone to alot of effort to keep it quiet. I found this was unprofessional and defeated the point of even organising a surprise. After expressing my disappointment the hotel called and apologised profusely and they were really kind and did not charge me for the gift (even though they also got the cookies wrong) and they comped our first two drinks at dinner. It did not undo the ruining of the surprise but the gestures made me really feel like the hotel did their utmost to make it better. This was so appreciated and we will definitely return to the Pillows for our next trip to Gent in October.

The Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel is simply the best place to stay in Ghent.

Pros: The hotel, its location, the service , staff, cleanliness, attention to detail , was exceptional. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Hidden garden in a beautiful hotel

Pros: We loved everything. Location is perfect close to the old town cafes restaurants and shopping. The stuff is kind and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms big and comfortable.

Cons: Bed was a little too soft to my opinion but it’s a matter of taste I guess so no complaints actually. Great hotel

Pros: Everything! Fabulous hotel with friendly and well trained staff. At the arrival we got a free upgrade to the room with a balcony overlooking their beautiful inner garden. Perfect stay for a romantic weekend away. We dined in their bistro which is also highly recommended.

Cons: We felt their breakfast was a bit overpriced for what you get. Coffee is ok.

Excellent hospitality and standard and I would return!

Pros: The staff were charming and helpful, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the room service was promptly and beautifully served. I enjoyed every moment of my stay.

Cons: The light switches were a bit faulty, and my tv didn’t work (room 117)

Fabulous stay in a totally beautiful hotel!!

Pros: Such a beautiful hotel. This was our 2nd stay and would definitely book again. Very clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Cons: The mattress for us was quite soft but that’s personal preference.
